monday must-haves

must-have #1

I have to admit, reading Cupcakes and Cashmere on a daily basis is my guilty pleasure. From clothes to home decor, I’m constantly inspired by Emily’s personal style. One of my favorites is the tassel garland found in her gorgeous pink office.

The original garland sells for $130 from Confetti System, but I found a similar sparkly strand on Etsy for only $32!

must-have #2

For someone who hasn’t mastered the whole walking in 5-inch heels thing, flats are my go-to footwear. As soon as d’orsays started popping up here and there, I absolutely fell in love! This version from Chinese Laundry comes in many different colors, textures, and prints; they’re versatile & super cute. Here are my top three (obviously, I’ve stuck to more classic colors and styles)…

metallic, white (partially transparent), and classic black. each pair – $60

must-have #3

It’s not all about the maxi/mini skirts anymore…say hello to the midi-skirt. Full, flirty, and fresh; these modern takes from ASOS bring this previously conservative shape to a whole new level.

Pretty little notebooks. As a journalism major, one tip I’ve been told is to always have a notebook in hand. These floral notebooks from Target come in a pack of three; small enough to throw in your bag & definitely cute enough to set out!

(similar from Target here)

& check out more notebooks at the Rifle Paper Co. site. They have absolutely adorable prints for everything from notebooks to recipe cards!
